 New Students Please arrive with silver.  See below for list of silver items and suppliers

 sketch pad and pencils 
 00 hair brushes, very small and pointed brushes
 320 sandpaper, wet or dry  from hardware store.  new 3m sandpaper claims to last 15x longer, get that if you see it. 
 


These are the basic hand tools all students need.
New students can borrow tools until they are ready to purchase them.

(if you wish to purchase just a few items, get the charcoal blocks ( KULICKE SCHOOL SELLS CHARCOAL BLOCKS), small tweezers, FROM JEWELRY SUPPLY and sable brushes FROM ANY ART SUPPLY STORE )

Round nose plier - small and/or medium size
Chain nose plier - small and/or medium size
set of 6, #4 files, 6 1/4 long
large tweezer
small tweezer
scissors
wire nipper
2 Charcoal blocks, any type, any size (CAN BE PURCHASED AT KULICKE SCHOOL)
small drill bits, #60 and #68 packs of six
# 2/0 sawblades (12pack)
#2 Cut 1/2 round ring file, 8"
 
 Pencil and Paper
several small sable brushes, size 0, size 00, size 000

 Granulation and Chains are made of Fine Silver.

THESE ARE MINIMAL AMOUNTS, BUY MORE IF YOU LIKE
SILVER SHEET COMES IN 6" WIDTHS
 Always by Soft metal if available  ( it comes soft, half-hard and hard)
 
6 inch x 3 inch sheet of 22 gauge Fine Silver
6 inch x 3 inch sheet of 26 gauge FINE SILVER
One ounce of 22 gauge fine silver round wire
One ounce of 20 gauge fine silver round wire
3 feet of 18 gauge STERLING round wire
3 feet of 20 gauge STERLING round wire
FOR RINGS
HALF ROUND STERLING WIRE , 8 GAUGE, SOFT. Minimum amount or 1 foot
RECTANGLE STERLING WIRE,
4X2 MM, 1 foot.

SILVER SOLDER-
hard, med, easy (1 dwt of ea) EITHER SHEET OR WIRE SOLDER

Please buy some cabochons and beads for use in making your jewelry.
We have some cabs for new students to use.
